Animal Aid, a vital rescue center, hospital and sanctuary for injured and ill street animals in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India, received a call that a dairy farmer had just dumped a new born calf on the side of the road…
Male calved born in dairy farms around the world are often taken from their mothers when they are just minutes old.
The abandoned little baby was dumped to stop him from drinking even a drop of his mother’s milk. When the rescue team arrived at the place where the calf was abandoned, they found him still wet from the afterbirth. He was desperate for comfort and so hungry. At the Animal Aid shelter he eagerly drank his first milk.
The amazing rescue team did everything they could to make him know he was safe and loved. As the days passed he grew stronger and stronger. They named him Dil witch means ‘heart’ in hindi. You have to watch the video to see how Dil is doing now!
